Architect in Morocco: the right professional for your project
Looking for an architect in Morocco, or not sure who to start with? Describe your project in two minutes: we study it and connect you with the right professionals, wherever you are.

- In Morocco and from abroad
- Reply within two working days
Building a house, renovating a riad, adding a floor, buying a plot or an old house, unblocking a permit file, following a site from abroad: every project needs the right professionals at the right time — an architect registered with the Order, an engineering office, a licensed surveyor, a contractor, sometimes a notary. Describe your situation; we study it and point the way.
What we do for you
- We read your project — type of works, city, plot, budget, timing, and what is holding you back.
- We tell you where to start — what the texts require in your case, which documents to gather, which professionals are mandatory and which are useful.
- We connect you — with an architect and, depending on the project, an engineering office, a surveyor, a contractor, chosen for your city, your type of project and your budget.
- We stay reachable — for a question along the way, a second opinion, a file that is not moving.
When to write to us
- A new build: villa, house, small building, business premises.
- A renovation or an extension: town house, flat, riad or medina house, an added floor.
- A purchase to check before signing: whether a plot can be built on, the condition of an old house, the land status.
- A permit file to assemble, to correct after a refusal, or an occupancy permit to obtain.
- A project run from abroad: power of attorney, a contact on the ground, remote site follow-up.
How it works
- You describe your project in the form above — two minutes, no obligation.
- We study it and reply within two working days, with first directions and the questions still open.
- We connect you with the right professionals; you then decide freely with them.
Why go through Built Morocco
We publish the trilingual reference on building procedures in Morocco: the building permit, land, planning, the occupancy permit, building from abroad, city by city. We know what the urban agency asks for, when an architect is mandatory and what a complete file contains. We are tied to no firm; we choose for your project.
Frequently asked questions
Is an architect mandatory in Morocco?
For most construction in urban areas, yes: Law 12-90 on urban planning and Law 016-89 on the profession of architect require an architect registered with the Order to draw up the plans and follow the works. The exceptions are narrow. Our Building in Morocco guides set out the cases.
How much does an architect cost in Morocco?
Fees are free and set by contract, most often as a percentage of the cost of the works according to the mission (plans only, permit file, full site supervision). We help you compare proposals on the same basis.
Can I start a project from abroad?
Yes. You need a representative on the ground — by power of attorney — to file and collect documents, and a site follow-up organised remotely. We guide Moroccans abroad on both points before the choice of an architect.
Does it cost anything? Am I committed?
Describing your project and receiving our first directions commits you to nothing. If we connect you with a professional, you contract directly and freely with them.
